SHELLY BMW CONFIRMS, THE WAIT FOR THE ACTIVEE IS ALMOST OVER

October 25, 2011 – Buena Park, Calif. – Shelly BMW is excited to confirm, the wait for the BMW ActiveE is coming to an end.

The recruitment process to become an Electronaut is scheduled to begin in November for our 2nd year MINI E Pioneers. The process for the general public is scheduled to begin in December, when the online reservation form officially opens. Those in the general public who complete the recruitment process can expect deliveries to begin in early 2012.

What is an Electronaut you may ask?  It is defined as, A BMW ActiveE driver; one of 700 adventurers and explorers. A front-runner of innovation, and an advocate for sustainability. A surveyor of the present, and a proponent of the future — the future of mobility.
    

There is a simple three-step process in becoming an Electronaut.  Step One is to submit the online BMW ActiveE reservation form when it becomes available on bmwusa.com/ActiveE. In Step Two, you will need to complete a charging station consultation with our partner, AeroVironment.  Lastly, Step Three, you need to complete a closed-end, two-year lease at a participating
BMW ActiveE center and finalize your charging station installation.
    

Anyone interested can sign up at bmwusa.com/ActiveE to get the latest information and to receive an email as soon as the Electronaut recruitment process opens. Remember, the BMW ActiveE is available on a first-come, first-served basis for those who follow the three-step process above.
