The BMW 650i Overview

The Jaguar XK Overview
The modern-day Jaguar XK is a direct descendent of the legendary 1961 Jaguar XKE (aka the E-type) – a car some critics have called “the first must-have sports car” and “the original babe magnet.” Upon seeing the XKE for the first time, Frank Sinatra said, “I want that car and I want it now.”
The Jaguar brand has lost some of its luster in recent decades, due in large part to a reputation for poor build quality and a limited product portfolio. In 2008, Jaguar was sold by Ford Motor Company to Tata Motors. Yet despite Indian ownership, Jaguar design and production remains in England.
The XK features an all-aluminum monocoque body shell that tips the scales at roughly 500-lbs. lighter than the new 6 Series. But the car generates only 385 horsepower and 380 lb-ft. of torque – far less than the 650i. The result is a 60 mph sprint in 5.3 seconds vs. 4.9 seconds for the BMW. For those who desire more power in a Jaguar, a 510 horsepower, supercharged XKR model is available.
